Exercise is Important to Healthy Skin

Would you believe that regular exercise can help to maintain healthy skin? Well, not only does exercise help to maintain healthy skin but it also helps to manage stress. On the other hand, if moderate exercise actually caused more acne to appear on your skin, then you need to consider the below factors.

Please try to exercise without make-up. This is because make-up may prevent your skin from breathing. The reason is make-up can cause the skin to clog. And remember to clean the skin after any work-out such as taking a shower.

If you exercise outdoors, ensure that you put on sunscreen. Research has proven that long exposure to sunlight can caused clogged pores. Clogged pores are the main caused of acne. While knowing the importance of sunscreen, the selection of the right sunscreen is also just vital. Go for oil-free sunscreen with at least sun protection factor 15 for both ultraviolet light type A and B.

Always wear garments which are not made of lycra and nylon. If you have sensitive skin, it is better to avoid such garments. Always go for cotton. Cotton allows our skin to breathe when exercise. And this will prevent trapped moister and heat which is fertile for bacteria to breed. Nowadays, there are such modern fabrics which can absorbed moister from your skin.

The secret is a good fit. Whatever you wear it must not be too tight or to loose. Avoid wearing swimming suit which is too tight under the arm. And also do not wear a helmet which slides around your forehead. It is important to keep your equipment dry and clean when not in use.

Always take off your wet clothes and suits after bathing or exercise. When you are done, only wear clean and dry clothes. Wipe the sweat on your face with clean and dry towel. Refrain from wiping to hard or it may irritate your skin.

In order to stay clean, shower soon after a work-out. Use medicated cleanser if necessary to keep your acne away. Just do not rub your skin too hard which may irritate your skin. Use medicated pad to wipe clean your skin whenever you are unable to shower immediately.

Remember to stay healthy is not just to exercise but you also the need to keep your skin clean. Follow the above tips when exercising in order to avoid breakout when work-out. Exercise healthily!
